Passport to Wealth is this Opportunity for You?

By George L. Kenney

If you've been searching the internet for a home based business opportunity or a way to make money online, you've probably come across Passport to Wealth. Passport to Wealth is one of the many network marketing or direct marketing opportunities that you'll find if you Google "home based business opportunities". I found Passport to Wealth while searching online and filled in the contact information on a website and waited to hear back.

I received a call from Mike, who is a great guy. He was very informative, and answered all of my questions directly. He helped me understand Passport to Wealth and also answered some online marketing questions. From him I found out that the investment to get started with "Passport" was $997.00.

What are you Promoting?

As a member of Passport to Wealth you receive countless digital products which you can download. Most of these have to do with online marketing. They include ebooks and tutorials. With your $997.00 purchase, you also have a license to resell any of the products as well as recruit new members by selling the product package and business opportunity. Mike then told me about a business overview call that afternoon.

The call was somewhat standard from my experience. A "leader" or moderator starts the call by reading a canned presentation. This is followed by some testimonials and then a Q and A session. It was explained during the call that the products had actually been "valued" at about $75,000.00 All of this sounded pretty good so I decided to start asking the very important questions.

How's the compensation plan set up?

This is where my hesitation began. Passport to Wealth is what's known as an "Australian 2-up". This means that you have to pass up your profits from your first two "training sales" to your sponsor. Of course, once you become qualified, then everyone you recruit will passing up the compensation for their first two sales to you.

Being involved in another "2-up" and not seeing the expected results, I decided to pass on Passport. I believe that as a new member you put a tremendous amount of effort into getting your business up and running. Why do you want to pass $1,994.00 up to your sponsor? This is all in hope that those you sponsor will wor as hard as you do and pass sales up to you.

Summation

Passport to Wealth is a real business opportunity with real products. The reason I chose to look elsewhere is the "2-up" comp plan. Why should you work so hard to get your business rolling and then literally give away money that you have earned? In this case $1,994.00
